Recognized with three awards at the 2019 InSpire Awards hosted by NCPRSA.
Largemouth Communications, a full-service public relations firm based in Raleigh-Durham, was recognized with three awards at the 2019 InSpire Awards hosted by the North Carolina Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA), including two Best in Category awards within the Silver and Bronze divisions. The Silver InSpire Awards honor excellence in public relations campaigns, while Bronze InSpire Awards focus on specific tactics.
“This recognition among our peers shines a spotlight on the talent and creativity our team brings to all levels of our work – from overall campaign concepts to tactical details,” said Brandon Bryce, president and CEO, Largemouth Communications. “We’re grateful to our clients for their trust and partnership as we collaborate on unique media relations and social media programs to help them achieve their business goals.”
Largemouth Communications and fellow public relations and marketing professionals from across central and eastern North Carolina were recognized at the NCPRSA annual Inspire Awards gala on Wednesday, May 22 at City Club in Raleigh. NCPRSA models its awards after PRSA’s national Silver and Bronze Anvil awards.
Largemouth Communications 2019 Inspire Awards include:
- Silver Award of Excellence & Best In Category in the Integrated Communications Category – “Ascom Breaks Through the Noise at HiMSS”
With rapid attendee and vendor growth year-over-year, the HiMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition brings together 45,000+ professionals from around the world for five days of education, innovation and collaboration to help uncover the promise of health information and technology. HiMSS also gives healthcare information technology (IT) companies from around the world a platform to announce new products. Understanding this unique opportunity, Largemouth and Ascom executed a comprehensive marketing, public relations and social media campaign that leveraged new product launches and a compelling customer case study to break through a highly competitive trade media news cycle.
- Bronze Award of Excellence & Best In Category in the Media Relations Category – “Hooters #ShredYourEx”
Every February, restaurants reveal special promotions for couples celebrating Valentine’s Day, but what about those without someone special in their lives? In 2016, Hooters started its #ShredYourEx campaign to celebrate those not-so-great relationships in a light-hearted way. The wing joint invites the broken-hearted to shred a picture of their ex – in-store or online – to earn 10 free boneless wings with the purchase of any 10 wings, and perhaps a little closure. Tasked with building on momentum from previous campaigns, Largemouth Communications crafted a comprehensive media relations strategy design to increase 2017 deal redemptions year-over-year in 2018.
- Silver Honorable Mentions in the Community Relations Category – “Circle K Fuels Our Schools”
To demonstrate ongoing commitment to the communities they serve, convenience store retailer Circle K launched the “Fueling Our Schools” campaign across its North American footprint. The campaign invites customers to purchase fuel at specially-marked fuel pumps, with Circle K donating one-cent of every gallon of fuel purchased to a participating local school. Schools use their donations to address difference areas of need, such as technology, resources and teacher incentives. Circle K tapped Largemouth Communications to increase awareness of special “Fuel Up Nights” across fifty local markets, building brand preference and strengthening connections between Circle K and the communities it serves.
